FLORIDIANS VOTING RIGHTS

The 2000 federal and state elections highlighted antiquated ballots, vote counting machines and ineffective state laws enacted to provide voter access.

Reginald would:

  • Restore the crucial provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 that prevent special interest groups from restricting Floridians the right to vote;
  • Implement universal, automatic voter registration for eligible 18-year-old Floridians; and
  • Set a new national standard allowing early voting to begin 20 days or more before all federal and state elections.
